All By Myself On This Day Of Rest ...

Leanna .... playing all by herself ... not by choice ... but because she is having "to make do". And in "making do" .... she is playing dress-up on the steps. Oh the joys of being a "little girl"! Where it's all about a purse, some lip gloss, a note pad and a pretty pen .... oh and heaven forbid we forget the sunglasses! (which I think she has a pair for every day of the week).

It's Sunday ... a day of rest ... don't know how much rest I'm getting - but the other two of "the crew" are resting peacefully. Still trying to get situated from being on this trip ... I'm totally unpacked ... but still needing to do a few things around the house ... hopefully before we go to bed tonight the whole house will be "straight" again. Right before Nathan finally drifted off into his "rest" this afternoon, he said, "what are you doing?" I replied, "I'm straightening the house". He said, "it's straight". ....okay, maybe in "his" eyes it's straight, but in my eyes ... "our work is never done" - right ladies? ... =)

LeAnna has her 1st dental appointment in the morning ... we've been cleared to go (per the docs) ... it will be a big deal for her every time she goes for the rest of her life - even to just have her teeth cleaned. Due to the open heart surgery and having her "valves" operated on for the birth defect - it can be very dangerous at the dentist without antibiotics each time we go ... so we are ready - we have our antibiotic and now we just gotta get her geared up for the visit! She doesn't like anyone touching her (especially a doctor) - but I don't blame her after all she went through last year ... but she'll be fine - just makes me a little nervous. The infection she can get from a dental visit is VERY dangerous and we were told VERY hard to get rid of if you ever get it. SO ... once again my nerves are a little shot, but having faith that she will be fine ...

Leaving you with this thought ... "A gift consists not in what is done or given, but in the intention of the giver or doer.”

happy day ... Tammy
