Good Afternoon! W O W ! ! !

Big Weekend ! ! ! !

Had a BLAST at the Paula Deen Weekend!

Got lots of new recipes ... enjoyed all the speakers ... loved the exibits ... just about all of them were from Savannah, GA ... so it's like she lifted up the little town of Savannah and placed it inside Opryland Hotel (as far as shopping).

We were busy, busy from the very beginning (Friday afternoon) to the very end, yesterday around noon.

There were a group of us who went ... that included, my mother-in-law Charolyn, Renee, Elaine, Robbie, and Mikayla. We had a LOT of fun! Renee and myself got a room for Saturday night ... which worked out great - we were all able to change for the banquet Saturday evening and then we were right there for the first demonstration the next morning - without having to get up at the crack of dawn!

I've included some fun pictures from the weekend ... Blogspot (once again) is not letting me post very many pics ... so maybe I'll post some more later ...

Yep ... that would be Bobby Dean!

Here's a recipe that was demonstrated that we all got to eat as part of our breakfat Sunday morning ...

Hot Fruit Bake

3 oranges, peeled and sectioned

2 Granny Smith apples, cored and thinly sliced

2 Bartlett pears, cored and thinly sliced

1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks, drained

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a lightly greased 13x9x2 - inch baking dish, combine fruit. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, and flour. Stir in melted butter until combined. Sprinkle oat mixture evenly over fruit. Bake for 45 mintues, or until topping is browned and fruit is tender.

Happy Monday ... tammy
