Well ... I can now say, "Been there done that!" ...
We went to Savannah on Tuesday, spent the whole day there ... went to "The Lady and Son's" restaurant (Paula Deen's place) ... VERY good food!
Took a historical tour of Savannah ... SO much history for one town! Really enjoyed this! Amazing architecture ...
We went to Uncle Bubba's Oyster House for dinner (this is Paula Deen's brother's place) ... very good as well ... this is also the place where her show, "Paula's Party" is taped ... we ate dinner in that room right in front of the stage ...
I have been trying to log on for a couple of days ... having issues here with connecting to someone else! =)
Oh well ...
We're having a great time ...
We're already planning our next vacation here next year!
We found us a home ... we LOVE it! AND ... it's for sale ...
Only $6,000,000 !
ha!
Yep ...
Not in this lifetime ... unless Nate gets recognized as a celebrity installer for Hermitage Lighting Gallery!
ha!
Anyhoo ... we really are thinking of looking into "something" here at a later time ... but as far as the "near future" ... we've already found a spot for vacation next year!
It's SO laid back ... VERY relaxing ... NOT touristy feeling ... It's like Pleasantville almost! ha! Everyone is actually nice to each other! =)
There are no hidden agendas ... just everyone here to relax and enjoy themselves ...
Bikes EVERYWHERE!!!!
If you don't rent or own a bike, you are "weird" here!
That's how laid back it is!
The food has been great ...
The sun has been hot ...
Already sad that it's almost over!
We leave Saturday ... and we had today all planned out ...
Well ... plans change! Nate got up this morning and did his "trip to the beach" before anyone else got up ... came back and discovered our van had a flat!
SO ... he's "somewhere" getting the tire repaired!
Oh well ...
Life ... it happens!
Well ... gotta run ... have sand to wiggle my toes in, water to splash in and rays to soak up! Such a rough week!
ha!
Really wanted to post pictures ... but I'm on dial-up right now and can't! Oh well ..
happy day ... tammy
